Enjoy reading about their journey that led them to Japan.
John heard the word of the cross and beheld the glory of the risen Lord Jesus in 1976 in Vancouver, Canada. The gospel of Jesus Christ came to him in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the full conviction of faith. Ever since, he has proclaimed the gospel that he has heard with his ears, the glory of God that he has seen with his eyes, and the life that he has experienced in his soul.
Grace’s life is truly full of the grace of God. She is a survivor of the Korean War, escaping from North Korea at the age of two. She became a believer at the age of six while living in a refugee camp on Jeju-do Island, South Korea. She experienced many dangers and hardships during her tender age, but God never let her out of His “righteous right hand.”
John and Grace have aspired to come to Japan to proclaim the gospel of God’s grace in Jesus Christ for many years. After raising three daughters (Sharon, Naomi, and Maria) and pastoring for 20 years in North America, they now minister to the internationalized Japanese in Osaka, Japan.
“How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD. I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.”
Psalm 116:12-14
