Linda and Hank have been serving in Japan with the IMB since January of 1986. We are from north Mississippi, near Memphis and have 3 adult daughters April, Terri, Amy, and 5 (soon to be 6) grandchildren, all living in the States. Hank's home town is Tunica, Mississippi and Linda's hometown is New Orleans, Louisiana (Go Saints!).
After moving to west Tokyo to begin our language study and serving in a Japanese church there during that time, we moved to the Osaka area in 1991. From 1991 to 1994, we worked in church planting in the Osaka suburb of Hirakata, and then from 1995 to 2004, in the town of Ikoma where we lived.
In March of 2004, we moved to the city of Toyota, near Nagoya City in Aichi prefecture. Aichi has a population of 7.5 million. The surrounding cities from neighboring prefecture of Gifu add another 1 million to the metro area. As strategy coordinators, we work in direct evangelism, church planting, and in training local Japanese as well as missionaries, or anyone who are interested in expanding the Gospel through Church Planting Movements (Multiplication) and principles among the Japanese in the Aichi Mega City area.
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
• us to keep our focus directed to the harvest.
• us to find the resources FOR the harvest IN the harvest.
• us as we train leaders in the manner of 2 Timothy 2:2. "And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. " NASB
• us to share our vision for the lost to others.
• new Believers to be bold in their witnessing and bold in their training others.
• us to have energy and health to keep going.
